Vick has a roster exemption for two weeks while he is suspended.

09/04/09......DT Willie Williams, TE Eugene Bright, and LB Curtis Gatewood are released.

09/01/09......Cornelius Ingram and Stewart Bradley are placed on the injured reserve list.

08/13/09......A real Shocker as the eagles sign Michael Vick to a 2 year contract.

08/04/09......DE Jason Babin signed to a 1 year contract

08/03/09......WR Jeremy Maclin agreed to terms on a five-year contract

07/29/09......Sadly, Jim Johnson passed away today.

06/29/09......Second round pick RB Lesean McCoy is signed to a 4 year deal, with just about a month until training camp starts, that leaves Jeremy Maclin as the only unsigned draft pick.

06/12/09......DT Trevor Jenkins is released

06/11/09......QB Adam Dimichele, RB Walter Mendenhall, and DT Amon Gordon are released

06/11/09......Donovan McNabb had his contract reworked today. Odd that it wasn't extended, but just gave him more guarenteed money over the next two years.

To me, this says a couple of things:

1.) Unless the Eagles win a superbowl, Mcnabb will be gone after the two years.

2.) I don't think the Eagles think that Kolb is the future, i believe this was kind of an apology from the Eagles for benching McNabb in the Baltimore game. I think the front office is pacifying Mcnabb and hoping for two good years to groom a replacement.

06/11/09......TE Cornelius Ingram is signed to a 4 year contract.

06/09/09......LB Moise Fokou and G Paul Fanaika were signed to four year deals today. That leaves three unsigned draft picks. Ingram, McCoy, and Maclin. Ingram will sign before the end of the week.

06/06/09......WR Brandon Gibson, T Fenuki Tupou, and CB Victor (Macho) Harris signed four year contracts today

06/03/09......Brian Westbrook missed the OTA again today and is scheduled to have surgery Friday to clean out his ankle. He may be sidelined until the start of the season. I really don't think it's time to panic, He is a veteran and I really don't think missing training camp will have that much effect on him.

06/03/09......The Eagles and Donovan McNabb are reportedly negotiating about reworking the final two years of his contract.

06/02/09......Brian Westbrook did not participate in todays OTA due to a sore ankle. Stacey Andrews only did individual workouts. He is still recovering from a knee injury.

06/02/09......The Eagles OTA (Organized Team Activities) start today. Sheldon Brown, who is unhappy with his contract is a no show.

05/18/09......Defensive Coordinator Jim Johnson has taken an indefinite leave of absence from the team to continue treatments for cancer. Sean McDermott will take his place until he returns. Best wishes Coach, get well soon.

04/27/09......The Eagles signed the following free agents today: RBs Marcus Thigpen and Walter Mendenhall, DE Josh Gains, K Sam Swank, CB Courtney Robinson, WR Brandon Robinson, G Dallas Reynolds (Dallas????????), FB Marcus Mailei, and S Reshard Langford

04/26/09......The Eagles 2009 draft class:
RD#....Pick#.......POS.......Player...........................HT........WT
1..........19............WR.......Jeremy Maclin...............6'0"......198
2..........53............RB.......LeSean McCoy...............5'10".....198
5.........153...........TE........Cornelius Ingram...........6'4"......245
5.........157...........CB........Victor Harris.................5'11".....187
5.........159...........OT........Fenuki Tupou...............6'5".......314
6.........194...........WR.......Brandon Gibson............6'1".......206
7.........213...........OG.......Paul Fanaika..................6'5".......327
7.........230...........OLB.....Moise Fokuo..................6'1".......233

04/26/09......Andy Reid traded in his car for two Motorcycles, a Unicycle, and a skateboard for 2010.

04/26/09......The Eagles trade their last 5th round pick (#164) to the Saints for their 7th round pick this year and the Saints fifth round pick next year.

04/26/09......The Eagles draft OT Fenuki Tupou in the fifth round

04/26/09......The Eagles draft CB Victor Harris in the fifth round

04/26/09......The Eagles draft a TE, Cornelius Ingram in the 5th round.

04/26/09......The Eagles trade two of their 5th round picks (#137,#141) to New England for CB Ellis Hobbs. They still have four picks in the fifth round, one in the 6th and 2 in the 7th.

04/26/09......The Eagles trade their third round pick (#85) to the Giants for their third round pick (#91) and the Giants 5th round pick (#164). The Eagles then traded the #91 pick to Seattle for their 5th and 7th round picks this year (#137 #213) and Seattles third round pick next year.

04/25/09......The Eagles use the 53rd pick in the draft to get RB LeSean McCoy.

04/25/09......The Eagles trade their first round pick (#21) and 6th round pick (#195) to Cleveland for their first pick (#19). They use that pick to get Wide Receiver Jeremy Maclin.

04/24/09......The NFL Draft is tomorrow and Sunday. The Eagles needs are RB, TE, CB, WR, and possibly a linebacker for depth.

04/17/09......The Eagles acquire Tackle Jason Peters from Buffalo for the 28th pick in this years draft, a 2009 4th round pick and a 2010 late round pick. Peters also signed a six year contract.

04/14/09......The 2009 schedule is now out. Click the schedules link above to see it.

03/9/09......Free Agent Tra Thomas signs a three year contract with Jacksonville. Tra played for the Eagles the past 11 seasons and has been a solid Tackle. He will be tough to replace.

03/5/09......The Eagles trade Greg lewis and a 2010 draft pick to the Patriots for a 2009 draft pick

02/28/09......Free Agent Correll Buckhalter also signed with Denver today. I wish him the best with Denver (except of course when they play the Eagles) I think the guy could be a very good running back but he never really got the chance to show it here.

02/28/09......The Unthinkable has happened!!!! Free Agent Brian Dawkins has signed a five year contract with the Denver Broncos. Dawk was one of the most beloved eagles in the history of the franchise and it is a shock to even think about him playing anywhere else. The future hall of Famer played 13 seasons here and was a dominating force as a safety, a well as the defensive team leader and one of the most likable guys around. He will truly be missed here in Philly. Really a sad day for Eagles football. Click here for my Dawkins tribute

02/28/09......Lito Sheppard is traded to the Jets for two undisclosed dfraft picks

02/28/09......The Eagles get OT Stacey Andrews in free agency and sign him to a six year contract.

02/20/09......Joselio Hanson is signed to a five year contract

01/18/09......Very disappointing loss. The Eagles came out fired up in the second half on both sides of the ball (where was that the first half?) McNabb led the offense on a nice comeback and the Defense played great in the third quarter but once the Eagles took the lead the team went back into the first half mode again.

01/18/09......HALFTIME: Arizona 24 Eagles 6.......... Pathetic effort by the Eagles. We all know that the Offense is always slow at the start but this defense that has been nothing short of spectacular lately just didn't show up. I don't know if the team shot it's emotional load in the Giants game or if they just took the Cardinals for granted. The way the offense is playing, I just don't see a comeback being possible in this game, If they have any chance of winning the Eagles need to step up big on both sides of the ball.

01/13/09......This Sunday at 3pm the Eagles take on the cardinals in Arizona for the NFC Championship......The eagles are 3 point favorites

01/14/09......Game Notes Special Teams:....... Congrats David Akers, who was 3/3 on field goals (25,35,20) and set the NFL record for consecutive playoff field goals without a miss......Rocca had an average of 42 yards per punt......Demps had 4 kickoff returns for 107 yards, with a long of 46 yards....... Scarey moment on the opening kickoff when Akers made a touchdown saving tackle, I am so glad we don't have one of those wimpy kickers like a lot of teams do

01/13/09......Game Notes Defense:....... Great game!!!!!.........The D held Brandon Jacobs to 92 yards on 19 rushes...........The Giants went for it on 4th and short twice and the Eagles came up huge stopping them twice.......The Domination of the Defense held the Giants to a mere 9 points on three field goals.........The Giants were held to 3/13 on third down attempts and 1/3 on 4th downs...........Samual had an int as well as Mikell....... Abiamiri recovered a Steve Smith fumble late in the 4th quarter to seal the victory..............Dawkins is still a beast leading the team with 8 tackles.......I said when Bunkley was drafted "A few years from now people will be saying that Bunkley and Patterson are the best Defensive tackle duo in the league" I think with the addition of Laws in the rotation I may need to adjust that to trio and say it is happening now..........This defense is young and good, I think the addition of a stud defensive end (could that be Abiamiri?) this will be a dominate defense for years.

01/13/09......Game Notes Offense:....... I am impressed with the way AR is running a balanced offense and sticking with the run game even though it is not extremely effective. i won't say it isn't effective at all because if nothing else it does keep the defense honest. On McNabbs TD pass, you can see that the Giants were playing to stop the run first and made the TD pass look easy..............McNabb was 22/40 for 217 yards 2 INTs and a TD, definitely a below average game stats wise for him but he did manage the offense well and made some near perfect passes during the game.........In my opinion, Mcnabb looked very good throwing the ball.......the long pass to Jackson was perfect and so was the one that Curtis dropped.............The O had a great drive at the end of the first half that resulted in a field goal and really seemed to grab the momentum from the Giants............Westbrook was again ineffective, 18/36 rushing, 2/10 receiving.....Celek caught a TD pass........Jackson,Avant, and Curtis caught 4 passes each......

01/12/09......Excellent game by the Eagles, They went to the Meadowlands and proved who the better team was. This defense is a Championship caliber defense and is very capable of taking the team to a Superbowl victory. The offense started slow but did seem to gain momentum throughout the game and looked like they were playing well at the end of the game, I really hope that carries over to the next game and beyond.

01/11/09......The eagles have just beaten the defending Superbowl champion and #1 seed in the NFC New York Giants 23-11 to advance to the NFC championship game for the fifth time in 8 years.

01/11/09......WE ARE GOING BACK TO THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!!!!!!

01/11/09......I didn't know about that new rule in the NFL, if you get penalized and your coach runs on the field and cries, the refs will take it back.

01/11/09.......First half observations:

The Eagles lead 10-8 at the half

Offense looks like crap, The Eagles should be happy that they have a lead

Asante Samual had a pick that he took to the 3 yard line to st up the Eagles TD

Westbrook is being handled by the Giants

Is it me or do the Giants seem like they think the Eagles aren't allowed to hit them? looks like they get pissy every time they get hit

Offense moved the ball well on the last drive of the half, hopefully the momentum continues

Eagles get the ball first in the second half

01/11/09.......Eagles at the Giants in the divisional round of the playoffs for the right to face the surprising Cardinals in the NFC Championship game next week

01/04/09.......Game notes Defense: ........The "D" had a very good game........Despite his two TD's, the Eagles did control Adrian Peterson...........Samual had a pick that went for six........Cole led the team with 7 tackles and 6 assits......Dawk had a sack and a forced fumble and played like a mad man

01/04/09.......Game notes Offense: The offense started out slow, they moved the ball early but could not score a TD, settling for field goals on three of their first four possessions........Reid did a great job balancing the play calling, surprisingly, he stuck with the running game even though it wasn't working. I really believe this surprised Minnesota and kept them off balance........McNabb had a good game going 23/34 for 300 yards with 1 TD and 1 int, he also threw some great passes and looked very accurate during the game........Outside of his TD on the screen pass, Westbrook was pretty much stopped by the Minnesota defense, 20 rushes for 38 yards, and 2 receptions for 12 yards not counting the screen pass............Hopefully that means he is due a huge game, because we all know he is a Giant killer.......Brent Celek played well in place of LJ Smith catching 5 passes for 53 yards....... Jason Avant became McNabbs third down target.......The offensive TD on the screen pass was fantastic, the three wide receivers (Avant,Curtis,Jackson) all had key blocks on the run

01/04/09.......The Eagles beat Minnesota 26-14 to advance to the divisional round of the playoffs. Next week they travel up the turnpike to face the New Jersey Giants.

01/04/09.......Eagles @ Minnesota first half observations:

The offense needs to sustain drives and score more then 3 points at a time

Westbrook is ineffective, we need to see Buckhalter run the ball in the 2nd half

The D needs to make stops on third down

I have to give Andy credit for using the run game, nice mix so far

These refs suck

01/01/09.......The playoffs start Saturday and the eagles play at Minnesota Sunday afternoon at 4:30. The oddsmakers have the Eagles set as 3 point favorites. I think if AR coaches smart, and uses a balanced attack the Eagles will win this game and advance. If, as he tends to do, He abandons the run early, then I think we may be done after Sunday.

12/31/08.......Happy New Year

12/28/08.......FINAL SCORE: EAGLES 44 DALLAS 6 (WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFFS)

12/28/08.......FINAL SCORE: HOUSTON 31 CHICAGO 24 (2 down, 1 to go)

12/28/08.......FINAL SCORE: OAKLAND 31 TAMPA 24 (1 down, 2 to go)

12/26/08.......The Eagles still have a shot to make the playoffs, despite the coach and his disdain for common sense. They need some help to get there, here's what has to happen for the eagles to get in the playoffs................ 1.) Oakland must beat Tampa bay 2.) Either Chicago or Minnesota must lose 3.) The Eagles must beat Dallas................. #1 Oakland sucks and Tampa is at home, out of all three "musts" this is the longest shot #2 Chicago plays Houston, I think this is a tossup game where either team can win.......The Giants should beat Minnesota but with home field locked up for the playoffs, New York doesn't have a lot to play for ....... #3 The eagles can certainly beat the Cowpukes, depending on which team shows up, if the pass every down mentality is there it will be a tough game to win, if there is balance, i don't see any problem with beating Dallas. Even if the eagles are eliminated from the playoffs when the game starts, I hope they play spoiler and knock dallas out.

12/25/08.......

12/21/08.......The Eagles lose to the Washington Redskins 10-3 and pretty much kill their playoff hopes for this year.......I still think Reid needs to be fired, once again the run game disappears from the Eagles playbook............Weather conditions were poor yet Reid still insisted on his unbalanced offense and throwing the ball all day.....................The Eagles ran the ball during their 3 game winning streak (33 times against Cleveland, 42 vs. the Giants, and 40 times against Arizona) In unfavorable passing conditions against Washington, the Eagles only attempted to run 16 times, and two of those were at the end of the first half to run out the clock.........I seriously wonder what the hell Andy's thought process is, They win three in a row with a balanced offense so he abandons it. He needs to get a clue!!!!

12/15/08.......The Eagles dominate a poor Cleveland team 30-10 for their 3rd straight win.......This victory sets the Eagles up where they are in control of their own playoff future...... Win the next two and they make the playoffs.

12/07/08.......GAME NOTES DEFENSE: Dominating game for the D.......... Bradley and Mikell led the team with 9 tackles each.......They held the Giants dominating rushing attack to only 88 yards.......

12/07/08.......GAME NOTES OFFENSE: Westbrook ran the ball 33 times (yes, really 33 times, that's not a typo) for 131 yards and a TD. He also caught 6 passes for 72 yards and a TD........... Mcnabb was 19/30 passing for 191 yards. 1 TD and no Ints. He also ran 6 times for 16 yards..........The Offense was 12/18 on third downs, a major improvement........The Eagles dominated in TOP, controlling the ball for 35 minutes

12/07/08.......In what could have been their best game of the year, the eagles defeated the New York Giants 20-14. The Defense was out standing and could have had a shutout and the balanced offense kept the defense rested and the New York offense off the field.

12/03/08.......Division matchup on Sunday against the Giants. Which Eagle team will show up? Will they run twice and then give up on the run as usual?

12/01/08.......Game notes: Special teams: Akers was 2/2 on field goals (41,42)....Rocca had a nice rebound game punting 3 times for a 45.7 yard average........ Jackson averaged 3.7 yards on three punt returns........Demps averaged 24.3 yards on 4 kickoff returns..............They held the cards to 19.4 yards per kick return and 4.5 yards on punt returns.

11/30/08.......Game notes: Defense: Great game. Dawkins, Hanson and Mikell all had interceptions. The D held the Cards to 25 rushing yards. Mikell and Dawkins led the team with 5 tackles each.

11/29/08.......Game notes: Offense: The Cardinals are not a good defensive team , and it showed, but it was nice to see a balanced offensive attack. McNabb was 27/39 for 260 yards with 4 TDs and no int's. Westbrook rushed 22 times (in one game!!!!!!!!!!) for 110 yards and two TD's (he also had 2 receiving TDs) The Eagles even converted on third and short a couple times and scored in the red zone.

11/27/08.......Wow, totally different team tonight as the Eagles win 48-20. McNabb started and the Eagles actually even ran the ball.

11/27/08.......Happy Thanksgiving everyone

11/23/08.......The Eagles looked like crap playing against the Baltimore Ravens today, losing 36-7. The offense was absolutely pathetic, Mcnabb was 8/18 with 2 interceptions in the first half and was benched in favor of Kevin Kolb. Kolb proceeded to make Mcnabb look good by playing horrible, he was 10/23 with 2 ints. It also seemed like the defense, which played very well in the first half, quit halfway through the second half.

The only bright spot was Quinton Demps 100 yard kickoff return for a TD. This is a short week with the Eagles playing the Cards on thanksgiving night.

11/19/08.......Eagles fans are up in arms after another disappointing loss this week, and a lot of fans are calling for Andy Reids firing. It needs to happen, Reid just looks lost on the sidelines, and I feel he has lost the team, once that happens it's all over. I just hope the owner realizes before too long. I also believe that the McNabb era in Philly is over, look for a trade after the season.....Is it possible that Reid is throwing so much to prove Mcnabb can still do it and raise his trade value?

11/16/08.......Game Notes Special teams: .......Akers was 2/2 on field goals (42,27).......Rocca had a 36.2 yard average on 10 punts, but shanked a couple in the fourth quarter..........Return game was average

11/16/08.......Game Notes Defense: .......Defense played fairly well but it was against a 1-8 team.....Bradley once again led the team with 12 tackles......Cole and Howard had 2 sacks each, with Bunkley, Hanson, Brown, and Clemons adding one each for a total of eight.......Darren Howard recovered a fumble after a Devastating hit by Mikell...The D held the Bengals to 56 yards rushing for a 1.9 yard average.

11/16/08.......Game Notes Offense: .......horrible game.........Mcnabb stunk.... he was 28/58 (58 pass attempts on a cold, blustery day...brilliant Andy) for 339 yards, 1 TD and 3 ints, and a fumble.........Westbrook had 14 rushes for 60 yards....... Buckhalter ran the ball once and had a great run on a screen pass....... The Eagles seemed to be trying to force the ball into LJ Smith

11/16/08.......Pathetic......just pathetic..... The Eagles go into Cincinatti and can only get a tie........Pathetic

11/15/08....Sunday the Eagles travel to Cincinatti to play the 1-8 Bengals. With 7 games left and considering the Eagles conference and division record, to have a realistic shot at the post-season, they have to win 6 of those games.

11/12/08....For all intents and purposes, Sunday nights game was a must win, and the Eagles came up small in a big game, again. I know it's the popular thing in Philly to trash Mcnabb and blame him for everything wrong, but not here. He is having a pretty good year. This team has a lot of problems and blaming Mcnabb will not solve the problems.

11/10/08....Game Notes Special teams: Not much better then the rest of the team.....Rocca had a 45.6 yard average......Akers was 1/1 with a 29 yarder......Demps returned 8 kickoffs for a 27.5 yard average, but he did fumble one giving the Giants great field position.......They punted away from Jackson, he had no returns

11/10/08....Game Notes Defense: Not much to say here, horrible, pathetic, etc. The Giants seemed to get 6 or 7 yards rushing every first down.......The defense gave up 219 yards rushing for a 4.6 yard average....Mike Patterson had a nice interception and return and recovered a fumble.......Bradley led the team with 14 tackles....Trent Cole had the only sack

11/10/08....Game Notes Offense: McNabb once again started very poorly, and once again played better later in the game........ He finished 17/36 with 194 yards, 3 TDs and one INT, can't say he had a good game but he did manage to lead the offense to 31 points and had a couple of really nice drives at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half..... The last drive of the game sucked, with two minutes left and trailing by 5, Reid decided to run the ball twice to try to get a first down, why take the ball out of McNabbs hands? We might as well let Kolb play in that case, he can hand off as well as Mcnabb can.........Westbrook did not play like Westbrook (13 runs, 26 yards)........Nice play on the wildcat formation with Desean scoring a TD.......Curtis, Avant, and Baskett caught TDs....Curtis was on a roll out and Baskett was on a fade pass........The O line gave up zero sacks but could not run block

11/9/08....This was a must win game, and despite being outplayed most of the game, it was a very winnable game. Unfortunately, Andy is still the coach so it was a 36-31 loss. This team has a lot of problems, lousy coaching, no short yardage running game, inconsistent and predictable offense, inconsistency with stopping the run, no real fullback, no real tight end, small defensive line. Major changes need to happen and it needs to start at the top.

11/4/08....Game notes Special teams:...... Akers was 4 for 4 on field goals (39,24,42,39).....Rocca punted 5 times for a 47 yard average.....coverage teams held Seattle to a 7 yd average on punt returns and 25.6 average on kick returns.......Jackson averaged 10 yards on 5 punt returns......Demps averaged 31.5 yards on two kick returns

11/3/08....Game notes Defense:...... Poor coverage by Lito Sheppard and poor tackling by Brian Dawkins gave the Seahags an early 7-0 lead on a 90 yard passing play for a TD very early in the game then the Defense stepped up and gave up nothing the rest of the game......Gaither led the team with six tackles and a sack......Darren Howard had 2 sacks and Chris Clemons had a sack.

11/3/08....Game notes Offense:...... McNabb started slow again, and just like last week recovered to have a pretty good game completing 28 of 43 passes for 349 yards with 2 TDs and one interception.......Westbrook ran 20 times for 61 yards........Celek had a career day catching 6 passes for 131 yards.......Todd Herremans caught a TD pass.....Reggie Brown caught the other TD.....McNabb connected with 10 different receivers

11/2/08....Yeah I know Andy has won 100 games as Eagles head coach, and yes he has done a lot for this team BUT can he ever win the big one??? I seriously doubt it. The sequence of plays at the end of the first half really points out Reids weaknesses....... The pass to Desean Jackson before the two minute warning was a bad spot and should have been a first down, Reid neglects to challange it.......... Next play, a no gain on 3rd and one, McNabb is very good at getting that one yard on a QB sneak but Reid doesn't use it here.........4th and one Reid finally uses the QB sneak sucessfully, yet for some reason the play ends up taking 43 seconds off the clock before seattle uses a timeout (they wanted a booth review on a possible fumble, and the Eagles once again had no urgency within two minutes)........ next play Westbrook runs for a gain of 6 or 7 and the Eagles stand around for 8 seconds before calling a time out........ Curtis makes a great play (which looked like a TD) and is marked out at about the 1 yard line, the clock stopped for the out of bounds but the Eagles still are forced to use a time out for what looked like lack of urgency getting the play in ( I am interpreting McNabbs body language but this is an ongoing thing too)

10/31/08....Happy Halloween from EagleFans.com

10/30/08....This Sunday, the 4-3 Eagles visit Seattle at 4:15 PM

10/29/08....Congratulations to the Phillies, 2008 WORLD SERIES CHAMPS ......... The drought is officially over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10/29/08....Game Notes:Special teams: Rocca had a 37.7 net average with two punts inside the 20, key play of the game was a short punt that the Atlanta receiver muffed and gave the ball back to the Eagles late in the game......Akers hit field goals from 36 and 18 yards out with no misses........Coverage teams did well holding Atlanta to 5.5 yards on punt returns and 17 yards on kickoff returns..........The return game was below average

10/28/08....Game Notes:Defense: The run defense returned holding Atlanta to 77 yards rushing......Samual and Sheppard both had interceptions, Lito's coming in the end zone to stop a scoring drive for Atlanta.........Gocong and Howard each had a sack........Trent Cole led the team in Tackles

10/27/08....Game Notes:Offense: Westbrook was absolutely awesome, He rushed for 167 yards on 22 carries with 2 TD's (22carries???? did we change coaches in the bye week?????) Westbrook also caught 6 passes for 42 yards, He also sang the national anthem and worked the concession stand at halftime........ Ok I was joking about the last two but I have no doubt that he could if he wanted to..........Mcnabb was pretty bad at the start, over throwing receivers by a long shot and just looking bad, but he did settle down and even ran the ball some........ Mc Nabb was 19/34 for 253 passing yards with no tds or ints, He ran the ball 6 times for 25 yards, scoring on a QB draw......... Mc nabb was poked in the eye after throwing a pass and was down for a while, Of course there was no penalty but Mcnabb played much better after that play......... Maybe Andy should poke him in the eye before every game.......Curtis came back and caught 3 passes for 45 yards....... LJ Smith was actually playing a good game before almost getting beheaded.......Reggie Brown did not play again.........DeSean Jackson caught 3 passes for 74 yards

10/26/08....The Eagles continue to be good after the bye beating Atlanta 27-14.....Westbrook had a Monster game....It was Reids 100th win as a head coach........During the player introductions, when Sheldon Brown was announced as starting cornerback, He and Lito ran out together....nice jesture

10/21/08....The Eagles sign a real fullback,Kyle Eckert and release J.R. Reed. WTG Andy, only took you six games to figure that one out.

10/19/08....The Eagles have a bye this week and are getting ready to play Atlanta next Sunday..... last week Dallas, New York, and Washington all lost, It would be great to see the same thing this week

10/15/08....Congratulations to the Phillies, 2008 national League Champions.....The World Series starts next Wednesday.

10/14/08....Game notes Special Teams: Coverage teams did a decent job against Allan Rossum on kickoffs holding him to a 21 yard average on 9 tries.........Rossum had a punt return for 45 yards.........Akers was 4/5 on field goals (19,25,28,38) the other attempt was blocked and returned for a Td at the end of the first half.......Demps had a nice kickoff return for 63 yards........Jackson returned two punts for 28 yards.

10/14/08....Game notes Defense: The Defense looked pretty average but stepped up big in the 4th quarter.....Cole, Parker, and Howard had sacks......Parker also had an interception that he took back 55 yards for a TD to seal the win..........Mikell had an interception that he returned 41 yards........Linebackers Bradley and Gaither led the team with 6 tackles each

10/13/08....Game notes Offense: McNabb was 23/36 for 280 yards with 2 TDs and an int......Buckhalter had a great game, rushing 18 times for 93 yards and a TD, He also caught 7 passes for 85 yards......DeSean Jackson caught 6 for 98 yards.........Reggie Brown did not play and unfortunately should be back for the Atlanta game..........The Eagles actually threw a fade route inside the red zone and it worked for a TD to Baskett........We had a very rae LJ Smith sighting, but he disappeared right afterwards..........Dan Klecko caught a pass for 2 yards

10/12/08....The Eagles gained a huge win today against SanFrancisco 40-26, and evened their record to 3-3 for the season going into the bye week.......The Defense stepped up big in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

10/6/08....Game Notes Defense: I fought off the temptation to simply put "SUCKED" and just leave it at that......Just like the offense, they had a great first series then disappeared.......The best run defense in the league forgot to show up,giving up 203 rushing yards......Dawkins had the only sack of the game.........James Trash made Asante Samual look like Izell Jenkins on one play........The Defense came up very small in the 4th quarter, with 7:18 left in the game, they could not make a stop and allowed Washington to run out the clock....... Adding insult to injury, the skins actually went for it on 4th and 1

10/6/08....Game Notes Offense: I fought off the temptation to simply put "SUCKED" and just leave it at that......The Offense looked great in the first drive but went back to the old predictable AR offense and got shut down the rest of the game.........McNabb was 17/29 for 196 yards no TDs or INTs, should have been better but the receivers forgot how to catch again.........This team still can't run in it from inside the two and the Red Zone offense is pitiful.....LJ Smith still seems to be missing........Westbrook has a rib injury

10/5/08....The Eagles lose another very disappointing game 23-17

10/5/08....First Half Observations: Eagles lead 14-9......Once again the Eagles offense comes out strong and then fades......... Desean jackson returned a punt for a TD........... Akers has become a liability.........Westbrook was injured on his TD run by an illegal horse collar tackle attempt......with Mcnabb out in front blocking on a couple reverses, i wonder if he is capable of a QB sneak this week if necessary.......Why does Joe Buck hate the Eagles?

10/3/08....The Redskins (or maybe I should say Native American football team) comes in sunday for an NFC East matchup. Hate to say "must win" this early in the season but this game is huge for the Eagles.

10/1/08....Game Notes:Special teams:......Remember when Akers was a dominate kicker? He missed 2 field goals (50, 47).........Rocca had a good game with a 44 yard punting average....... Coverage was pretty good, Hester averaged .3 yards per return in the punt game and kickoff coverage only broke down once giving up a 51 yard return.

9/30/08....Game Notes:Defense:......They started off poorly but did come back and play very well later in the game...........The Eagles remain the #1 rushing defense in the league, giving up only 78 yards rushing to the Bears.......The D forced 2 ints (Howard, Mikell) and recoverd 2 fumbles (Bradley, Gaither)......The D also leads the league with sacks, getting 4 against Chicago (Cole, Gaither, Parker, Klecko)

9/29/08....Game Notes:Offense:......McNabb was 25/41 for 262 yards 1 int, and 1 TD, he was also sacked 3 times.......Westbrook, Andrews and LJ Smith did not play........Buckhalter played a very good game rushing for 66 yards on 16 carries and a TD....... The O-Line was disappointing, allowing the sacks and not being able to get a push when the Eagles ran three consecutive plays from the 1 yard line and could not score.......DeSean jackson scored his first touchdown on a great throw by Mcnabb........Reggie Brown returned andf had 6 catches....... Lorenzo Booker looks like a wasted draft pick.......The offense looked very good early in the game and seemed to die out, lack of game time adjustments again?

9/28/08....Very disappointing game as the Eagles lose to the Bears 24-20....It was a very winnable game but the offense just could not score in the red zone again, stopped 3 times on the one yard line.

9/26/08....Congratulations to the Phillies, 2008 national League East Champs.

9/24/08....The following players did not practice Wednesday: McNabb, Westbrook,Hunt, Andrews, LJ Smith, Abiamiri......... Abiamiri is the only one listed as OUT for Sundays game......... Hopefully Westbrook will get to sit out and rest his ankle, every game is a big game considering how tough the NFC East is, but I would hate to risk losing him for a longer period of time if it isn't absolutely necessary........ same thoughts with Curtis and Andrews

9/24/08....There is a possibility that kevin Curtis may play Sunday against the Bears. Coach andy Reid said "If he's ready he will play, If he's not ready, then he won't"

9/24/08....Sunday night the Eagles travel to Chicago for a prime time game against the 1-2 Bears.

9/23/08....Game notes Special teams: Much better performance this week.......They allowed only one punt return for 5 yards and three kickoff returns for 72 yards.......Demps looked good returning kickoffs he had 2 returns for 58 yards.........Jackson had very little work in punt returning (2 for 11 yards)............Akers was perfect 2/2 on field goals and 1/1 on pats, he was also getting good kickoffs......... the star of the game was Sav Rocca, whose punting in the fourth quarter was vital in the win by pinning the Steelers deep in their own end.........in the 4th quarter he had a 64 yard punt to put the Steelers at the 25. then a 54 yard punt to the Steelers 6 yard line (led to a safety) After the nest series he punted 37 yards to the Pitt 7....... With the way the defense waqs playing and Rocca getting them great field position, the game was won.

9/23/08....Game notes Defense: A fantastic, dominating game for the defense. The D shut down the Steelers running game and pressured Rothlisberger all day long.........The Eagles recorded 9 sacks officially (Trent Cole did not get credit for one he had because the refs called intentional grounding after the sack)There were also at least 3 close ones where Rothlesberger was tackled at the LOS barely avoiding a sack.........Sacks were made by J. parker (2.5),Gaither (1.5),Howard(1.5),Bunkley(1), Cole(1), Dawkins(1),and Klecko(0.5)..........Samual had another interception on a great play.........Steelers were held to 2/13 on thrid down and 0/1 on fourth down......The defense held the Steelers to a measley 33 yards rushing and 147 yards passing......Dawkins was defensive player of the week after having a great game.........Flyin Brian had the sack and strip after getting off his block and diving at Rothlisberger in the fourth quarter that set up the game clinching field goal.

9/22/08....Game notes Offense: McNabb started the game completing his first 15 passes.........Brian Westbrook injured his ankle and is day to day.......Buckhalter played well rushing 10 times for 43 yards and scoring a TD where he ran 15 yards and flew the last 5 yards into the endzone......McNabb was 24/35 for 196 yards with 1 TD and 1 int......... Kolb played briefly while Mcnabb was injured, going 2/3 with an int........Tony Hunt fumbled in the first drive, killing an Eagles scoring opportunity and getting injured on the play........Hank Baskett had a very good game cathing 8 passes for 85 yards.......Reggie Brown played sparingly.........I think with the play of Jackson,Baskett, Avant, and Lewis, the starters (Curtis,Brown) may have a tough time getting their positions back........Overall the offense was a little shakey, but losing your best player (Westbrook), starting fullback (Hunt) and having your best O-lineman (Andrews) and both starting wide receivers out, along with McNabb getting hurt, against a good defensive team like Pittsburgh give the offense a little bit of a pass for this game.

9/21/08....The Eagles win a hard fought defensive struggle 15-6 against cross state rivals, The Pittsburgh Steelers.

9/21/08....Congratulations to Donovan McNabb, who passed Ron Jaworski for the most TD passes as an Eagle with 176.

9/19/08....Has anyone seen LJ Smith?

9/17/08....This sunday at 4PM the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town. The Steelers look to be the best team in the AFC.

9/17/08....Did anyone else notice the look Lito was giving Consindine after he got beat on the long TD pass?

9/16/08....Game notes Special teams: Special teams looked more like the special Olympics in the kick return game......They allowed an average of 36 yards per return (it would have been over 40 if one of the kick offs wasn't bobbled by the Cowboys) along with a 98 yard return for a TD..........Q demps had a nice kick return for 47 yards, other then that the return game was average at best..... Sav Rocca continues to impress with a 48 yard net average and one punt of 61 yards......Akers was 3/3 on field goal attempts (34,44,22) and perfect on extra points.

9/16/08....Game notes Defense: Pretty poor effort by the defense with some high points........Sheldon Brown led the team with 8 tackles.......Asante Samual had his first interception of the year......Gocong recovered a Romo fumble in the end zone for a defensive Td...... The defense amassed an amazing total of zero sacks, pressure on the QB was pretty much non existent, the 3 or 4 plays that the eagles did get pressure resulted in an interception, a fumble in the end zone and a couple bad throws by Romo.... I guess what I'm trying to say is where the hell was the Jimmy Johnson blitz package that all the announcers like to talk about.....The secondary looked pretty weak and Brian Dawkins looked slow......This team needs to put some pressure on the QB in the future.

9/16/08....Game notes: Offense: McNabb was 25/37 for 281 yards and a Td with no ints.......He also should have had a 61 yard TD pass to DeSean jackson but jackson made a bonehead play and tossed the football down before he crossed the goal line, Luckily the play was called dead and the eagles retained possesion..... On the next play westbrook scored one of his three TDs...........Jackson caught 6 passes for 110 yards, becoming only the second player in history to record 100 rec. yards in his first two games in the NFL........Did the tight ends even play in this game?.....

9/15/08....The Eagles lose a heartbreaker to the hated Cowboys 41-37.......the offense played very well for 3 quarters, moving the ball well but still having trouble with scoring TD's in the red zone..... The defense was kind of weak giving up 41 points and looking very pathetic in the secondary.......Special teams were awful, allowing a kick return touchdown (even though the refs looked the other way on the obvious holding penalty....... Although this loss is very disappointing, it isn't devastating. I expected the Eagles to split with dallas and the Giants this year so it isn't a loss that kills the team.

9/15/08....Been away on vacation the past week in Aruba so no up dates for the week....Dallas tonight on MNF big game early in the season...... Dallas is talking trash, TO is his usual self taking shots at Mcnabb, Pacman jones is staying out of the strip clubs and talking trash, and even Jezebel Simpson is saying the Cowboys will kick the Eagles butts..... I like the trash talk, means Dallas is worried about us.......My Prediction:24-21 Eagles

9/7/08....Game notes Special teams:....Desean Jackson looked very good for the most part, I think he needs to learn not to run backwards on punt returns....Sav Rocca looks much improved over last year, punting four times for a 42 yard net average and downing 3 inside the 20....... Demps was impressive on punt coverage, downing two punts on the 2 yard line.....Akers was 1/1 on field goals and perfect on extra points.

9/7/08....Game notes Defense:....Great game for the defense, giving up only 3 points well after the game had been decided.......The D held the rams to 8 first downs (one on another bullshit call from the refs) and only 188 total yards....Bradley, Mikell, and Klecko each had a sack, with Patterson and Howard combining on the 4th sack.......Asante Samual broke up three passes in his debut and just missed taking one back for a TD......Omar Gaither made a nice play defending Steven Jackson on a pass play.....Sheldon Brown had the hit of the game knocking off Jacksons helmet after a reception.

9/7/08....Game notes Offense: McNabb was fantastic, going 21/33 for 361 yards with three TDs and no ints, and had a QB rating of 131.0.....Kolb saw some action after the game was out of hand going 5/6 for 53 yards.......DeSean Jackson really stood out in his NFL debut, catching 6 passes for 106 yards, he would have had another long reception but he was interfered with and the bullshit refs decided to let it go.Jackson also returned 8 punts for 97 yards taking one inside the 10 on a sixty yard return, he just missed another long return when a Ram made a shoestring tackle from behind........Westbrook rushed for 91 yards on 19 carries and scored a TD on a shovel pass..... LJ Smith scored a TD on one of the passes he didn't drop.....McNabb hooked up with Baskett for a 90 yard td late in the first half.....Tony Hunt scored on a 1 yard run with Dan Klecko in as fullback......Avant and Lewis both played well.

9/7/08....The Eagles win the season opener by dominating the Rams 38-3.

9/7/08....The season is finally here as the Eagles take on the Rams at 1 o'clock. The eagles will be without both starting wide receivers but I'm actually excited to see what Jackson and Avant can do as the starters.

9/1/08....The practice squad:LB Andy Studebaker, FB Jed Collins, CB Kyle Arrington, DT Mike Marquardt, WR Willie Reid, OT Chris Patrick, CB Trae Williams, WR Shaheer McBride.

8/31/08....The Eagles released Rocky Boiman and sign Tank Daniels off of waivers.

8/30/08....The Eagles released the following 12 players: CB Kyle Arrington, FB Jed Collins, FB Jason Davis, WR Michael Gasperson, DT Mike Marquardt, WR Shaheer McBride, DE Jerome McDougle, DT Montae Reagor, LB Justin Roland, LB Andy Studebaker, TE Kris Wilson and G Scott Young. They also placed Offensive linemen King Dunlap and Mike Gibson on the injured reserve list to get down to the 53 man limit.

8/29/08....Running back Ryan Moats, wide receivers Bam Childress and Jamal Jones, cornerbacks Therrian Fontenot and Nick Graham, safety Marcus Paschal, guard Stefan Rodgers and linebacker Pago Togafau were released today. This trims the roster to 67 players with 14 more cuts to come by 6 PM Saturday, to make the final roster 53 players.

8/26/08....Kicker richmond McGee was released and Jack Ikegwuonu placed on the reserve/non football related injury list to get the Eagles down to 75 players on the roster. Saturday is the deadline to get down to 53.

8/24/08....Montae Reagor will be cut Monday or tuesday.(edit: or maybe not)

8/23/08....The Eagles have released WR Frantz Hardy, FB Luke Lawton, and G Cameron Stephenson. Two more players need to be released by Tuesday to get to the 75 man limit.

8/22/08....Game notes:Brian dawkins left the game with an injury reported to be an ankle, he will have an MRI tomorrow........ Shawn Andrews made his return tonight.......Asante Samual played well in his return to new England. On the first defensive play of the game,He threw Randy Moss for a loss of 6 yards on a reverse.....Kolb looked pretty good playing in the second half..........Joe Mays seemed to be in on every tackle in the second half, I will be shocked if he doesn't make the 53 man roster......Tony Hunt took a lot of snaps at fullback.

8/22/08....The Eagles beat the Patriots 27-17, and it wasn't even close. All around a very good game for the Eagles. The starting offense moved the ball well and they even established a running game. In the absense of starters Brown and Curtis, the backup receivers played very well. Avant and baskett had two catches each (Avant had a TD) and Jackson continued to impress with 4 catches, he also had a great run after a catch on a screen pass showing off his fantastic speed..........The Defense held the Patriots to 3 points while the starters were in.Parker and Cole both had a sack. The defense held the patriots to a stingy 56 yards in total offense in the first half.......... Special teams were impressive with Demps returning a kickoff 101 yards for a TD, three plays later, Jackson returned a punt 76 yards for a TD........Sav Rocca did a great job punting.

8/22/08....Tonight is the third preseason game against the NewEngland Cheatriots. I still don't put much stock in winning or losing in preseason but the third pre season game is usually the best indicator of how the team looks for the season, The starters play a little longer and it is really their final tune up before the season. I don'rt expect the starters to play much at all against the Jets next week.

8/20/08....Kevin Curtis has a sports hernia and will be "out for a while".Reid said that the Eagles will not bring in another receiver.

8/14/08....The Eagles win their second pre-season game against the Panthers 24-13 in a really weird game. There was a one hour delay in the first quarter due to lightning. Surprisingly after the delay, the starters continued to play in sloppy conditions, and the starters matched the weather by playing a very sloppy game..... Kolb led the reserves to a second half comeback..... The playing conditions and the delay make it hard to truly judge the players.

8/9/08....Shawn Andrews finally reported to camp.

8/8/08....Game notes: Mcnabb looked good! He went 10/13 for 97 yards and a TD.....Rookie receiver DeSean Jackson had 5 catches for 51 yards and showed some nice moves after catching the ball. He also showed some toughness taking a couple of big hits and bouncing right back........Kevin Kolb looked average........Tony Hunt got 6 carries (that's a lot for an Eagles running back) I'm wondering if the Eagles are trying to show other teams he has some ability........Max Jean-Gilles looked pretty good subbing for Shawn Andrews.....Laws recorded the eagles only sack........Joe Mays had a few big hits......Westbrook did not play.

8/8/08....The Eagles lost their first pre-season game to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 16-10. The loss is no big deal, since the games are meaningless, the important thing is there were no major injuries.

8/8/08....The Eagles have renegotiated Brian Westbrooks contract, pretty much assuring he will be an Eagle for the rest of his career. Smart move to wrap up your most productive player.

8/5/08....This Friday is the first preseason game, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Finally, football is back.

7/25/08....Veterans report to camp today and despite rumors both Brian westbrook and Lito Sheppard show up. Shawn andrews did not. The team reported he stayed away for personal reasons and that his absence is un excused.

7/22/08....FINALLY.....Training camp is here. The Eagles now have all their draft picks signed and are ready to go

6/3/08....Lito Sheppard was a no show for the Eagles Voluntary mini-camp. It is voluntary and the eagles can't officially punish a player for not showing up BUT unofficially I think this is the end for Lito here in Philly.
Guard scott Young also was a no show, expect him to be gone very soon.

5/30/08....The Eagles signed 4th round draft pick, safety Quintin Demps to a four-year deal.

5/26/08....Happy Memorial day everyone!!! Just 3 1/2 months til the season starts.

5/5/08....The post draft mini camp is complete, and despite the efforts of the media, The team didn't explode. Lito is still on the team and all three cornerbacks practiced together. Asante samual picked up where he left off last year by intercepting passes from AJ Feeley in practice.

5/2/08....The first Mini Camp starts today. It will be interesting to see what Lito has to say.

4/28/08....The Eagles agreed to terms with the following rookie free agents: CB Kyle Arrington from Hofstra, FB Jed Collins from Washington State, T Franklin Dunbar from Middle Tennessee State, WR Terrell Golden from Penn State, WR Frantz Hardy from Nebraska, WR Shaheer McBride from Delaware State and Justin Roland from Kansas State

4/27/08....SECOND DAY DRAFT CHOICES

Round 3.....Bryan Smith.....OLB...6'2"....228....McNeese St.
Round 4.....Mike McGlynn....OT....6'5"....318....Pittsburgh
Round 4.....Quintin Demps...FS....6'0"....206....Texas,El-Paso
Round 4.....Jack Ikegwuonu..CB....5'11"...194....Wisconsin
Round 6.....Mike Gibson.....OT....6'4"....305....California
Round 6.....Joe Mays........ILB...5'11"...245....N. Dakota st.
Round 6.....Andy studebaker.OLB...6'3"....251....Wheaton
Round 7.....King Dunlap.....OLB...6'9"....310....Auburn

4/27/08....Second day of the draft and the Eagles still have an abundance of draft picks left. One in the third round(#80), Three in the 4th round (#109 #117 #131), Four in the 6th round(#184 #191 #200 #203), and one in the 7th round(#230). Nine second day picks, Lito Sheppard, and two first round picks next year gives the Eagles a lot of room to manuever. Purely speculation on my part but I think there is a possibility of packaging Lito and a high draft pick next year for a premier receiver..........we can hope.

4/26/08.... The Eagles made another interesting move dealing a 4th round pick to Miami for RB Lorenzo Booker. Booker is 5'10", and 191 lbs and is going into his second NFL season. The Eagles wanted to get him last year but he was taken by Miami first.
In other news, Lito Sheppard was not traded today. Look for something to happen on Sunday.

4/26/08.... With their first of two 2nd round picks(#47, from Vikings), The Eagles take Notre Dame DT Trevor Laws. The 6'1", 304 lb Laws should fit very nicely into the rotation with starters Bunkley and Patterson. Add Lajuan ramsey as a 4th DT in the rotation and that will be a very strong position for the eagles for years.
Two picks later, the eagles use their own second round pick to take a wide receiver! Desean jackson is a 6'0",178 lb receiver from california. He is also a return man which will hopefully help the special teams this year.Jackson is fast and does have the potential to be a big playmaker in the NFL.

4/26/08.... The Eagles trade their first pick (#19 overall) to carolina for their 2nd(#43) and 4th(#109) round picks this year and Carolina's first round pick next year.
The Eagles then sent the 2nd round pick from Carolina to Minnesota (along with a 5th round pick #152) in exchange for the Vikings 2nd round pick(#47) and 4th round pick(#117).

4/25/08.... Draft day is tomorrow. I believe by this time tomorrow night, Lito Sheppard will no longer be an Eagle. My guess is we get a second round pick for him and package some picks to move up in the first round.

4/23/08.... With the Eagles trying to get a big name wide receiver, I have to wonder if Andy still thinks our receivers are fine. What does this say about Reggie Brown?

4/22/08.... OK 3 days until the draft and the rumors are going crazy, here's a summary: Chad Johnson (bengals said no) Jared Allen, Roy Williams, Anquan Boldin, We're trading up, We're trading down,Lito is being traded for draft picks, Lito is being traded for a wide receiver, AJ will be traded, Reno Mahe for Brian Urlacher (ok I made that one up) And there are still some people saying that Mcnabb will be traded.

4/18/08....DT Dewayne Robertson from the Jets was in for a physical. He is a starting quality tackle and would be a great addition with a rotation of Patterson, Bunkley, and Robertson. The eagles need to work out a trade and probably renegotiate his contract.

4/16/08.... Chad Johnson stated in an interview that he will not report to camp and won't play for the Bengals again. Let the rumors fly. As much as we need a good receiver,I don't think I'd like to see him here. This sounds too much like he is reading a script written by T.O., next week he'll be doing sit ups in his driveway.

4/15/08.... The Schedule is out.Click on "Schedules" above to see it.The Eagles get five prime time games, two Monday night games, two Sunday night games, and play in prime time on Thanksgiving. It is also very likely that the final game of the regular season against dallas will be moved to prime time. The league must be thinking that the eagles will be pretty good this year to schedule that many prime time games.

4/13/08.... Things are pretty quiet on the eagles front right now. The draft is less then two weeks away (April 26,27). Reid has stated that the Eagles will take the best player available at pick #19.

4/10/08.... Marijuana possession charges against DT Mike Patterson have been dropped. He was convicted of careless driving. It is highly unlikely that the NFL will take any disciplinary action against Patterson.

4/2/08.... L.J. Smith signs his franchise tender.

4/1/08.... Despite many many rumors, the eagles have yet to get a top notch receiver. Rumors still persist about Chad Johnson and Roy williams, but I don't think either will happen. Unfortunately, I think Reid still believes our receivers are fine. Lito has not been traded yet, but will probably be gone before the draft.

3/17/08.... FB/DT Dan Klecko is signed to a two year contract.

3/6/08.... LB Takeo Spikes is released. The move frees up $5 million in cap space. Are the eagles freeing up money to go after Larry fitzgerald?

3/1/08.... Free agent DE Chris Clemons is signed to a five year contract.

2/29/08.... New England free agent cb Asante Samual is signed to a six year contract by the Eagles, pretty much insuring that Lito Sheppard will not be here next year.

2/28/08.... Jevon kearse is released, surprising absolutely no one.

2/7/08.... LJ Smith is assigned the Franchise tag.

2/5/08.... There are a lot of rumors circulating that Cornerback Lito Sheppard is unhappy with his contract and wants a new extension. Other rumors state that Lito and Reid had a shouting match at the end of the season, some believe that the issue is that Lito is dogging it to force the Eagles to give him a new contract.

2/4/08.... To add insult to injury, today, our division rival The New York Giants beat new England to win the Superbowl. I don't want to take any credit from The Giants, they played fantastic football throughout the playoffs and in the Superbowl, and they deserved the win. I just don't think they are a great team, but a team that stepped up and played their best when it really counted. I hope to see that from this Eagles team someday soon.

1/31/08.... Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook publicly state that the Eagles need playmakers (I read that to mean Wide Receivers).

12/30/07... Last game of the season, The eagles beat Buffalo to finish the season with a three game winning streak but with a disappointing 8-8 record, and miss the playoffs for the second time in three years. The poor season was due in a large part to Donovan mcNabb being ineffective for most of the year while recovering from his injury. The coaching also left a lot to be desired, As reid and company made some huge mistakes during the year that contributed to losses.
